Yep, I’m starting a new animated film.
I can think of at least 12 people who might ask me “when are you going to finish your last film?”. The answer is soon, or soonish at the latest. I still have lots of work to do. Working on a multi-year film can be exhausting mentally, having that unfinished burden hanging over your head. I find it helps the ‘ol brain to actually take new, different, project from start to finish. In other words, starting project #2 (while still having an unfinished project #1) and then finishing project #2 gives me a little mental boost forward. I’m then ready to get back in the saddle and tackle the next batch of animation on project #1. If that makes any sense.
That brings us to “Snowsville”, the title of the new animation/comic. Yep, I plan on doing a comic and animated version of this little story. This July, I will again have a table at the San Diego Comic-Con (more on that soon) and plan to have the “Snowsville” comic finished by then.
“Snowsville” stars my old pal Scissors the Bunny. The setting is a grocery store exterior, a “coin-operated horsey ride” will be an important player in the film, and it will be mixed media. Thats about all I can tell you now. Stay tuned for sketches.
But, hey! While I’m thinking about it, I need a good “coin-operated horsey ride” to photograph. Anyone know of one in the Los Angeles area?
